Welcome to Term 3 from our CE Mandy
Although several of our services as well as our office remain open during the term breaks, and so don’t technically have terms, New Zealand’s wider education system is entrenched in the term system, and so we still generally define things in a “terms” way – so welcome to Term Three!
It was fantastic to see so many people at our staff conference; the feedback we have received about the organisation, the venue, and the content of the conference have been overwhelmingly positive - wonderful.
Thanks to all who were involved in the organisation, and thanks to all of you who engaged, contributed, and shared your ideas and energy. We’ve already started work on engaging many of the speakers from conference to provide further PLD opportunities during this term and next term, and we’ll be setting up meeting dates for administrators and for TONI Educators. We’ll keep you posted.
Many teachers also engaged in the PLD opportunities offered during the rest of the term break, while teams have been busy meeting and planning for the coming term. Welcome back to the staff who ran what turned out to be a highly successful conference in Samoa – some 250 ECE staff in Samoa engaged in this high quality, relevant PLD.
In reviewing the past two weeks and the work that has been undertaken, it really does reinforce our belief: Kindergarten rocks!
