Action Research Into Assessment Practices A recent article questions whether the way of getting families to respond to learning stories is the best way to get parents’ voice in assessment. In the article Marjolein Whyte says once a teacher has described the learning and the next steps families are asked to comment once things have been decided rather than being part of the process. Whyte advocates for an initiating parent voice, with parents asked to comment on a photo before a learning story has been written.
