Nga mihi nui, nga mihi mahana ki a koutou. Tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa. Welcome to any new staff to Whānau Manaaki Kindergartens; and welcome back to staff who started back on the 3rd and to those who started on the 8th, and to those of you who start back next week on the 23rd. We’ve had some amazing warm weather over the past week! Hopefully, wherever you have been over the last month or so, you have been able to do some things that you find relaxing with whānau and friends. For those who don’t know, the Kōrero is distributed each Thursday to all kindergartens and office staff, and to relievers, NZEI, NZK, and other individuals and agencies that are interested to keep in touch with what we’re doing. In efforts to streamline the communication that goes out to you, we try to put everything in the Kōrero to try and make it easy for you to find the information we have sent out. Please make sure that everyone in your team gets to see the Kōrero including administrators and students. Teams have different systems for making sure everyone gets to see it, so make sure everyone knows what your system is. Most of our relievers are on the distribution list, but please check with relievers that they have seen the Kōrero. We are looking forward to 2018 – we have a new Government – imagine the possibilities – we certainly are in the office. We look forward to working with you to develop these and other possibilities into realities Have a great week - Jane
Term Dates 2018 We've had a bunch of inquiries regarding term dates for 2018, so to make them readily available to you we've attached them to the Kōrero. Click the link below! Term Dates, (.doc Format; 485Kb)
Website Maintenance Send us your staff photos, newsletters and updated information! We are working to keep the website up to date and full of accurate information, so please send us your updated staff photos, any newsletters your kindergarten shares and also any information that may need up dating on your kindergartens website page.
Printing/Scanning issues You may notice a few issues with scanning, this has to do with changes from Vodafone. If you do find you are having problems with this please contact Tania Braybrook - Ph: 04 232 3065 or email: Tania.braybrook@wmkindergartens.org.nz
Facebook Tip: Parents are getting ready to send their children along to kindergarten, though some are running a bit late in terms of enrolments. Over the break many of the kindergarten Facebook pages received messages from parents wanting to enrol their children. For those of you who were able to get back to these parents that is great! Thank you for doing so promptly. For those who haven't managed to get back to these parents yet, no worries! Obviously we don't expect you to be checking this while on holiday! Setting up instant replies if your kindergarten or Facebook administrator is planning a holiday is great way to bridge this gap! This way your parents are getting a response and an understanding as to why we might not be able to act right away.
