Whakaohooho:

You will notice a new section in Kōrero this week entitled Whakaohooho, in here you will find a selection of current articles and links to readings and literature to act as provocations or to inspire you!

Whakaohooho means to rouse, awaken, inspire, encourage, motivate and is the perfect name for this regular link to current articles and literature!

Enjoy!

  • Growing up in NZ

Give Away Days:

Ni Sa Bula everyone

Whanau Manaaki is holding Give Away Days on Saturday 4 November at Una Williams Kindergarten and Saturday 25 November at Nuanua Kindergarten for the families that we work with.  We are very fortunate for the generosity and care we receive from our kindergartens, families, the wider community and networks who give us items that our families would benefit from. Everything we receive is given away to families for free.  We are asking everyone again if you have things you want us to give away to families.  As you can see below in the photos of one of our Give Away days that we receive clothing, linen, curtains, furniture, electronics, appliances, toys, books, shoes, kitchen ware, jewellery, make up, toiletries, food (tin and packet) etc.  If you would like to contribute please drop off to the following places near you:-

  • Whanau Manaaki Kindergartens main office (Ask for Tania Braybrook)
  • Una Williams Kindergarten: 12 Macara Street Masterton
  • A drop off place for the Upper Hutt and Hutt area to be confirmed
