Ascot Park Kindergarten
About Us and Our Programme
At Ascot Park we are big on family! We encourage whānau to be part of our programme in whatever way they can, to support the children’s learning. We encourage family groupings, so siblings and cousins can attend together. We also welcome participation of children with special learning needs and their whānau, and work with other agencies to foster and enable full participation.
We provide a programme based around Te Whāriki, our national early childhood curriculum. We notice children’s interests, and develop play-based opportunities to extend and foster their learning, in individual or group learning situations. These exciting journeys are captured through stories on Storypark, and in their profile books which record the ongoing learning during their time at Kindergarten.
At Ascot Park Kindergarten we embrace and follow the children’s lead – offering the security of warm empathetic support as we look for opportunities to ‘stretch’ their thinking, promote language development, foster their developing social competence, and nurture adventurous spirits who know what makes their heart sing!
