Conference Workshop: Jenny Ritchie We are aware that there was a high demand for Jenny’s workshop: Enhancing teachers’ understandings of Tātaiako, and due to limited places some teachers were disappointed that they were unable to book into this workshop. Therefore, we are seeking opportunities to present this workshop in future PD sessions later in the year – watch out in the Korero for future PD updates!
General Conference Information Car Parking: Te Papa offers a special function attendees rate of $10.00 from 6am to 6pm and an evening special of $6.00 from 5pm to 2am the next day. Day hourly parking rate is $4.00 and night hourly is $2.00 from 5pm to 2am the next day. There is a car parking validator machine available inside the hired venue and your guests need to bring their ticket in and pass it through the machine, then they will need to go to a pay station on departure and the special function attendees rate will apply.
Monday Night Canapés and Drinks: These will be served in Te Marae from 4.45pm. Please note that for all alcoholic drinks there is a $2.00 charge. Please ensure you have $2.00 coins to use as there is no eftpos facilities available. Non-alcoholic drinks will be free of charge.
Monday Night Conference Dinner from 6.30pm (optional): The venue for this year’s Conference Dinner will be at Mac’s Brew Bar which is located at the start of Taranaki St on Wellington's beautiful waterfront. (Please note that attendance at the dinner is at the participants’ own cost). We look forward to seeing you there!
Teachers Conference Imene As with previous years, an imene will be included in the Conference Programme, but just so everyone can be prepared, we will be including details in the conference updates.
The following imene will be led by the Pūnanga teachers following the Keynote by Jean Mitaera on Tuesday 11th July.
