| About Us and Our Programme
Tai Tamariki Kindergarten is a whānau-based full day model, licenced for 30 Tamariki 1-5 years with all ages learning alongside each other nestled within the rich cultural context of Te Papa Tongarewa.
This unique setting and our central community are viewed as valuable extensions of our learning environment.
Our vision is to provide a welcoming environment where Tamariki are enriched by playful inquiry that is nurturing, inquisitive, challenging and reflective.
To develop knowledge and skills that will support them in being capable, to have a strong sense of mana and confident identity of themselves as learners.
We notice, recognise, intentionally plan for, and respond, to both the individual and shared interests of our Tamariki as they emerge through their play and interactions with others.
We are committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa, embracing our bi-cultural heritage to promote Te Reo Māori me Ona Tikanga to be visible and meaningful.
