About Us and Our Programme

Greytown Kindergarten provides a warm and welcoming setting for children, parents and whānau.

We are committed to the environment, to empowering children, to developing social and emotional skills, and to partnership with families.

We offer a meaningful, creative programme which supports literacy and the development of mathematics, and challenges and extends children’s thinking.  We value the cultures of our children and families, and include culture in our curriculum.

Our teaching team is collaborative and professional.

Our kindergarten has been part of the Wairarapa community for more than 50 years. We have an established close relationship with the people of Papawai Marae (Ngâti Moe) and with Ngâti Kahungunu iwi.
