Cottle Celebrates Silver Award For Enviro-Schools What a wonderful day to celebrate our Silver Award for Enviro-schools. Many of our whānau have contributed towards this achievement though gardening, working bees, trimming trees, providing mulch, donations of plants and natives, paintings that have connected our tamariki to the nga Atua. (Maori Guardians) and provided us with much advice and guidance. Koka Tangi blessed our kowhai tree today and made this celebration so special. She is a real treasure for Cottle (Katara) and provides us with guidance that uplifts the Mana of all. The dedication of the team for our Enviro-school vision has also made this happen. There has been a lot of mahi going on behind the scenes. This commitment and enthusiasm from the team has created such positive pathways for our tamariki to learn more about Papatuanuku (mother earth). We would especially like to acknowledge Mishy for her vision - she is just magic when considering our outdoor spaces for tamariki - we couldn't do it without her amazing knowledge and creativity. We also acknowledge those past kaiako who began this Enviro School journey in 2015 when they achieved Bronze. It feels great that we have been able to build on such a strong foundation.
