It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Preparation for the Waitohi Kindergarten Christmas Parade float is well underway!

The theme this year is around the Maori Atua (guardian) of cultivation and peace Rongomātāne.

The tamariki have been involved in the design, discussion, sketching and creation of the float through mat time discussions (see designs). Here they are pictured putting the base coat on fruits and vegetables made kindly by the wonderful people in the Hive (Waitohi library) with a laser cutter.

Still more work to do - watch this space!

Only 2 more sleeps!

Papararangi

We were very lucky to have Hayley's Grandparents and their singing group the Happy Wanderers come and sing for us today. It was lots of fun and we all got to sing along with them, so a big thank you to you all it is wonderful to build relationships with our wider community. Enjoy these photos of a busy day lots of exploring and turn taking today.

Congratulations!

A big congrats to Nick and Marie Perts (Ngaio and Johnsonville West respectively), on the birth of their gorgeous wee man, Levi.  Levi's big sister was super chuffed to meet her new brother.  Both Marie and Levi are doing well.
