Matariki Celebrations At Onslow Kindergarten

What an amazing night we had at Kindergarten last night (Tues) for our Matariki Whānau evening. Thank you to EVERYONE that came along (we might need a bigger venue & more tables next time!!!) and brought some amazing dishes that told a story of their whakapapa/family to share.  Although we couldn’t see any stars with the telescope, we got to light the lanterns we made, and share the special songs we had been learning together.  Thanks also to E for taking on the rangatira role in leading our echo song.  What an honour.

Thank you also to all families who shared connections to home about how their tamariki have been teaching them about the meaning behind Matariki. An amazing time for us all to be learning together. Manawatia a Matariki.
