A CAREER IN KINDERGARTEN

Early childhood education is an important first step in building the foundation for a child's ongoing learning and development.

At Whānau Manaaki, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.

All of our teachers and educators receive ongoing professional development and support from Senior Teachers or Etu Ao leaders.

As an early childhood teacher you will be at the cutting edge of education, and play a critical role in helping young children along a pathway of lifelong learning.

In conjunction with The Open Polytechnic, we support our home-based educators (TONIs) to achieve a certificate in Early Childhood Education, level 3.

The TONIs and Kindergarten Based Students who wish to further their studies are able to study and achieve the Bachelor of Education (ECE) also with The Open Polytechnic.

We also support another group of Kindergarten Based Students to achieve a Degree in Early Childhood with Te Rito Maioha (previously Te Tari Puna Ora o Aotearoa New Zealand Childcare Association).

We support all students with their studies by offering study days as well as assistance with editing and writing their assignments to help them achieve their goals.
