About Us and Our Programme

We provide a warm and welcoming learning environment where children have opportunities to develop a wide range of skills and dispositions. Respectful relationships with families and whānau are important to us, as well as building whanaungatanga, a sense of place, belonging and well being.

We focus on supporting children to become socially confident and competent.  Children are able to explore, experiment, challenge and extend themselves as they deepen their interests.

We weave Te Ao Māori into our programme, and encourage respect and value for each child’s unique contribution and cultural background. Children are encouraged to have positive attitudes towards themselves, each other and the environment.

SESSION TIMES

Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 2:30pm

Our programme reflects children’s interests, and supports them to deepen their thinking.  Children are free to choose activities throughout the session.  They help themselves to morning tea and we sit down to lunch together at 11.30am.   During this time the environment is refreshed and then children are again free to choose areas of interest.  We work together to tidy the kindergarten  at the end of session and have a farewell mat time to end each day.
