About Us and Our ProgrammeCampbell Kindergarten is in the heart of Karori, close to Karori Normal School, Victoria University, the local pool, and the Rec Centre. We are in a converted house, which provides a homely feeling within a sunny natural outdoor environment. We are one of three kindergartens in Karori, and have been caring for Karori families since 1983.

Our kindergarten is warm and welcoming, rich in experiences, challenges and opportunities, where enthusiasm and joy of learning is shared and embraced. We nurture positive and respectful relationships, where learners share and create understandings together.

We foster positive learning dispositions to create self-motivated lifelong learners. We encourage children to be curious, embrace challenge, and lead their own learning as they explore their passions, ideas, and interests, while respecting others and our environmentOur curriculum is enriched through recognising and valuing identity, culture, and background. We celebrate and foster our bi-cultural heritage and embrace cultural diversity, celebrating the mana (power/authority) of each child.

We have a strong community spirit, and work in partnership with whānau (families). We value shared decision-making, open communication, and sharing information; working together in the best interests of each child.

Our vision for our kindergarten is to support and guide children in developing a sense of belonging, curiosity, and resilience, alongside a sense of responsibility for our environment and the people in it.

Monday - Friday:  8:30am - 2:30pm

We are a team of four qualified registered teachers, with an administrative assistant who helps in the office. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience and provide quality early childhood education. Through collaboration, shared goals, and continual reflection we work together to support children to be confident competent learners.

We have various regular events in addition to the programme, as well as events relating to our current programme focus.

We hope to meet you and your whānau soon!
