About Us and Our Programme
Manaaki Whenua ... We look after the land and environment
Manaaki Tangata ... We look after the people
Haere Whakamua ...We can all go forward in our learning
You will hear laughter from both adults and children as you come up our long driveway. We place great emphasis with our families and whanau that this is their place too. This is everyone’s place. The families and whanau are part of our philosophy river, nourishing and enabling our kindergarten community to move forward and grow stronger together.
We encourage all our children to be 21st Century Learners by supporting them to investigate the world around them. We celebrate with them taking risks and discovering self belief and confidence.
When you visit you will see a living philosophy in which Manaakitanga (respect for all things) is evident. Our children and teachers use philosophy language in natural play and learning.
New Zealand Sign Language and Te Reo Maori are used within our kindergarten alongside English naturally throughout both sessions.
We believe in an inclusive working environment supporting individual needs of children and whanau.
We view children as adventurers who teach and learn.
Our teachers thrive on a passion for learning, investigation and teaching. We make connections to our wider community and local iwi. We encourage the sharing of different cultures and their customs.
We celebrate difference and embrace fun
